The following Ordinance was duly & regularly adopted on May 13, 2025 by the Forestville Water District Board of Directors with the effective date of July 1, 2024. Notices of Adoption published in the Press Democrat, May 24, 2025

Please help us manage sewage flows and prevent sewer overflows by ensuring that you have no illicit connections and please notify the District immediately if you observe or discover any illicit or illegal sewer discharges.

ANNUAL BACKFLOW TESTING

To ensure our drinking water is of the highest quality, the Forestville Water District requires backflow preventers to be installed by consumers who have potential hazards on their property which have a greater chance of polluting or contaminating our water in case of backflow. The annual testing requirement of the backflow device is mandated by the California Code of Regulation, Title 17. The test is to be performed by a licensed and certified agency that has been approved by FWD.
